The University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University, University of Santo Tomas, and the University of Southeastern Philippines are among the top 300 universities in Asia.
According to QSIU, the universities were ranked based on academic reputation from global survey (30%), papers per faculty and citations per paper (30%), faculty student ratio (20%), employer reputation from global survey (10%), and proportion of international faculty and students and proportion of inbound and outbound exchange students (10%).
The following are the 2012 rankings according to international research organization Quacquarelli Symmonds Intelligence Unit (QSIU):
UP – 68th from 62nd in 2011
ADMU – 86th from 65th last year
DLSU – 142nd from 107th last year
UST – 148th from 104th last year
USeP – 251st to 300th (first time in the rankings)
