ADVISORY : Schedule of Examination & Quota for October 2009 CSE-CAT
The Civil Service Commission (CSC), through the Examination, Recruitment and Placement Office (ERPO), is opening six (6) schedules for the October 2009 Career Service Examinations-Computer-Assisted Test (for both Professional and Subprofessional levels), as follows: October 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, and 22. Passers of this examination shall be granted the corresponding Career Service Professional or Subprofessional Eligibilities and their names shall be entered in the Register of Eligibles. The Eligibles shall be qualified for appointment in government provided they meet the qualifications and other requirements of the position.
Please be advised that the venue for the CSE-CAT can only accommodate forty (40) examinees per schedule; hence, for the October 2009 CSE-CAT, we shall accept a total of 240 qualified CSE-CAT applicants thru our Online CSE-CAT Application Reservation System (OCARS).

Actual Filing Dates
|

The actual dates for filing and processing of application forms (CS Form No. 100, Revised 2008) are slated on October 6 & 7, 2009. Only those qualified CSE-CAT applicants, who will receive their respective Schedule of Appearance (SOA) and confirm their availability, are expected to be present on October 6 and 7, 2009. In the event that the date of filing be declared a holiday, qualified applicants are requested to appear before the ERPO on the next working day.

At this juncture, we advise those who may have other plans or activities that would prevent them from appearing on any of the filing dates to reconsider applying and instead take their chance on the next application date, and thus, give others the opportunity.

Confirmation of Reservation and Availability
|
|||
|
All qualified CSE-CAT applicants who will receive their respective SOA (via email or via website) are required to confirm their application reservation and their attendance on the designated date of personal appearance. The link to the confirmation webpage can be found in the body of the said email or it can be accessed in the CSC website thru this link: Check Schedule of Appearance. Failure to give a confirmation would mean that the applicant is waiving his/her right over the slot and further agrees to have his/her record deleted for the said schedule to give way to others.

IMPORTANT: There are some free email account providers (like Yahoo Mail), which would treat our email notice as spam mail. Please check your Spam or Junk Mail folder in case you have not received our email notice.

Closing of Link to the OCARS

|
As soon as the quota for the October 2009 CSE-CAT is reached, the OCARS shall be temporarily disabled and will re-open only when:
|

|
•
|
the Advisory for the succeeding month’s examination schedule is posted; or
|
||
|
•
|
there is a need to fill up gaps in the quota caused by the deletion of records from the OCARS’s database of disqualified applicants, or applicants failed to give confirmation of application reservation and/or has wrongfully encoded and/or with invalid email addresses.

|
We advise all CSE-CAT applicants concerned to visit the CSC Website (www.csc.gov.ph) for any new Advisory on the re-opening of the OCARS.
|
|||
|
Meantime, those who will not be accommodated by the reservation system may opt to take the November 15, 2009 Career Service Examination –Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT). The deadline for submission of application for the said CSE-PPT to any CSC Regional Officeis on September 30, 2009.

using a computer based exam with the Civil Service Commission is such a good thing, but with regards to the volume of applicant this system could handle is it’s disadvantage.
why not making it more useful by serving more than it could do and putting more center where every Filipino people can easily access not just putting it right to heart of the Civil Service Commission main office!!!. So sad for those people who are paying their taxes to be use for the government office to be more functional such as this Civil Service Commission office so that it could serve more Filipino people. Examinee for this department is usually dreaming of applying for a job in a government office which is the fact that they are taking the exam. But waiting for a long period of time for the result is not a nice thing for this department to consider. This is the reason why this department develops an online system to cater more people who want to take the exam and be able to know their exam result right after they take the exam on the same day.
Make use of the TAXES we are PAYING…..
My point of this letter is share what is in my mind and to suggest what should be done by the government officials to resolve this simple but complicated situation not only this part of the government but for all government offices.
We are now facing a form of government why not changing the policies and the Leader of each department who is not doing his/her job.
Hope this sentiments will cater the brains of the government officials who just serving them selves and not the Filipino people..
